Different types of search engines
A Search engine is a program that allows you to search the internet for information.
A Hit describes when a search engine finds a match on the internet.
A regular search engine , like Google or Yahoo!, searches the internet based on a given search term and orders them by relevance.
Relevance: how close the HIT is to your actual search term
A meta search engine , searches many search engines at the same time.
